Hello! I am Lauren, a UX/UI designer based in Chicago, IL.
My most recent experiences have been working on enterprise software applications and their design systems at Echo Global Logistics and Nielsen. Previously, as a member of the staff at 270 Strategies, I worked with dozens of non-profits to create brand identities, websites and digital assets. Prior to my time in Chicago I designed websites at Juicyorange in New York City after completing my studies in Graphic Design at Parson’s The New School for Design.
Before I was a designer I worked in Los Angeles on feature films. I completed a BFA in Film Production at Chapman University. My experiences in California made me an expert storyteller and taught me about work ethic and paying your dues.
In addition to UX/UI work, I enjoy helping to establish and maintain design team processes. I have experience managing junior designers, helping them improve their design skills and navigating sometimes complicated work dynamics.
I enjoy working closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, Developers, Business Stakeholders. I have tons of experience presenting design work to all these groups and collaborating with them to find the best design solutions. Fun fact, I cured my fear of public speaking by taking an improv class at Second City.
Outside of work, I enjoy taking full advantage of Chicago summers. Street festivals, walks by the lake and brewery patitos. In the winter I love binge watching Dateline and making my way through my ammature wine collection. I enjoy giving back to the community by volunteering at the Lakeview Pantry.
